Craps is a casino game where the players bet against the house, not against the other players. The players either bet with the Shooter, which is called betting right, or against the Shooter which is called betting wrong. The players are betting on the outcome of the roll of the dice. Even though there are different kinds of bets that can be placed in different situations, there are four basic bets: Pass Line, Don’t Pass, Come and Don’t Come.
The Pass Line and Don’t Pass bets are made on the Come Out Roll. The Pass Line bet is a wager that the shooter will roll a seven, eleven or will establish a Point on the Come Out Roll. The Don’t Pass bet is a wager that the Shooter won’t. The Don’t Pass bet is that the Shooter will Crap Out by rolling a two, three or twelve like as in bingo game.
These bets are even money bets. Once the point has been established, the players can place odds bets since the shooter now has to roll the point before he rolls a seven. Players can wager that the Shooter will make his Point or roll a seven or eleven by placing a Come bet.
A Don’t Come bet is a wager that the Shooter will not make his point and Crap Out. These are even money bets. These four bets are the basic bets in the UK casino game and the kind of bets that result in the most frequent winnings for the players. They aren’t high payout bets. |
